Barbara Kingsolver is an American novelist and essayist. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2023 for Demon Copperhead, a retelling of David Copperfield set in Appalachia. Her other acclaimed novels include The Poisonwood Bible, The Bean Trees, and Prodigal Summer.
