We built Similar To Books because we kept running into this problem ourselves. We are a group of book lovers who got tired of scrolling through generic recommendation lists at midnight, hoping to find something that captures the same feeling as whatever we just finished. We wanted a place where every recommendation actually earns its spot.

Every book on this site goes through a real research process. We read reviews, dig through reader discussions, compare themes and writing styles, and ask the question that matters: if someone loved this specific book, will they love this recommendation? We don't pad lists with popular titles to fill space. Every pick is there because it shares something meaningful with the original, not because it happens to sit in the same genre.

Each recommendation comes with a detailed writeup explaining exactly why the two books connect and what readers can expect. We break down the common elements, from narrative structure to emotional tone, so you can decide for yourself whether it is the right fit. No star ratings, no vague "readers also enjoyed" labels. Just honest, specific reasoning from people who care about getting it right.
