Chinua Achebe

Chinua Achebe (1930-2013) was a Nigerian novelist, poet, and critic, widely regarded as the father of modern African literature. His debut novel Things Fall Apart, published in 1958, has sold over 20 million copies and been translated into more than 50 languages. It remains the most widely read work of African fiction.
