David Eddings

David Eddings (1931-2009) was an American author of epic fantasy. He is best known for the Belgariad and the Malloreon series, which collectively sold over 10 million copies and are considered classics of the genre. His accessible, character-driven approach to fantasy influenced many subsequent authors.
