Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa

Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa was a Sicilian aristocrat and Italian novelist whose only completed novel, The Leopard, was published posthumously and is widely considered one of the greatest Italian novels of the twentieth century. The book, a sweeping portrait of Sicilian aristocracy during the Risorgimento, was adapted into an acclaimed film by Luchino Visconti.
