James Baldwin

James Baldwin was an American novelist, essayist, and civil rights activist whose passionate, eloquent works on race, sexuality, and identity made him one of the most important voices in twentieth-century American literature. His landmark works include Go Tell It on the Mountain, Giovanni's Room, The Fire Next Time, and Notes of a Native Son.
