Jane Smiley

Jane Smiley is an American novelist who won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for A Thousand Acres, a retelling of King Lear set on an Iowa farm. Her prolific body of work spans literary fiction, young adult novels, and nonfiction, and she is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
