Khaled Hosseini
Khaled Hosseini is an Afghan-American novelist and physician. His debut novel The Kite Runner, published in 2003, became an international bestseller and was adapted into a film and stage play. He also wrote A Thousand Splendid Suns and And the Mountains Echoed. He is a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and his work highlights the human cost of conflict in Afghanistan.
