Kurt Vonnegut

Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007) was an American novelist and satirist known for blending science fiction, dark humor, and social commentary. His novel Slaughterhouse-Five, based partly on his experience as a prisoner of war during the firebombing of Dresden, is widely considered one of the greatest American novels. Other notable works include Cat's Cradle, Breakfast of Champions, and The Sirens of Titan.
