Norton Juster

Norton Juster (1929-2021) was an American architect and author of children's literature. He is best known for The Phantom Tollbooth, published in 1961, a beloved classic about a bored boy who drives through a magic tollbooth into a fantastical world of wordplay and mathematics. The book, illustrated by Jules Feiffer, has sold millions of copies and remains widely read in schools.
