Ralph Ellison

Ralph Ellison (1914-1994) was an American novelist, literary critic, and scholar. His novel Invisible Man, published in 1952, won the National Book Award and is considered one of the most important American novels of the twentieth century. The book explores racial identity and social invisibility through the experiences of an unnamed Black narrator.
