Robert Sheckley

Robert Sheckley (1928-2005) was an American science fiction author known for his satirical and darkly humorous short stories and novels. He was one of the most prolific short story writers in the genre, with works appearing regularly in Galaxy Science Fiction and The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. His work influenced later authors including Douglas Adams.
