A Song of Wraiths and Ruin
During Solstasia, a once-in-fifty-years festival in the city of Ziran, two young people are set on a collision course. Malik is a refugee whose younger sister is taken by a vengeful spirit, and to free her he must assassinate the crown princess before the festival ends. Karina is that princess, grieving the sudden murder of her mother the sultana, and when she learns a ritual could bring the queen back, she needs the beating heart of a king. She decides to marry the winner of Solstasia and sacrifice him. Malik enters the competition to reach her, and neither knows the other is planning their death.
