A Study in Charlotte
Jamie Watson lands a rugby scholarship at Sherringford, a Connecticut boarding school an hour from his estranged father, and discovers he shares the campus with Charlotte Holmes, the great-great-great-granddaughter of Sherlock. Charlotte has the family genius and the family temperament, and she has no interest in being anyone's friend. When a Sherringford student the two of them both had a history with turns up dead in a killing staged to echo the classic Holmes stories, Jamie and Charlotte are the prime suspects. To clear their names they have to work the case together, which forces Jamie into the orbit of a girl who reads him like a page and trusts almost no one, including herself.
