After Hours on Milagro Street

Alejandra Torres comes home to Freedom, Kansas, determined to turn her grandmother's beloved bar, Loretta's, into the business that will resurrect her stalled career. The obstacle is Jeremiah Post, a mild-mannered professor who rents the room next door and has his own ideas about the bar and building she needs. Alex is tattooed, tough, and done being underestimated, and Jeremiah is quiet in a way that hides how thrown he is by her. The large, loud Torres clan is everything Jeremiah never had, and the town of Freedom folds around its own. As the two share a wall and clash over the bar's future, the animosity and forced proximity turn into a pull neither can ignore.
