Cursed Bunny

Bora Chung's 10 stories move through a toilet that grows a sentient head, a woman whose body produces an inheritance dispute after she dies, a corporate cursed-object factory that builds revenge dolls for paying clients, and a kidnapped girl whose abductor turns out to be the worst thing in the building only by a small margin. Chung mixes Korean folk horror, science fiction, and feminist body horror into a register no other writer in translation is working in, asking how a woman's body holds up under the combined weight of patriarchy, capitalism, and supernatural rot.
