Fear of Flying
Isadora Wing is a twenty-nine-year-old poet on her second marriage, accompanying her psychoanalyst husband to a conference of analysts in Vienna. Bored and restless, she runs off with Adrian Goodlove, a charismatic and unreliable British therapist, in pursuit of a fantasy she has named the zipless encounter, sex with no strings and no guilt. The affair becomes a chaotic road trip across Europe that forces Isadora to confront what she actually wants from love, marriage, freedom, and her own ambition as a writer.
