Girls of Paper and Fire

In the kingdom of Ikhara, three castes divide the world: the demon Moon Caste who rule, the half-demon Steel Caste who serve them, and the fully human Paper Caste who exist at the bottom. Every year, eight Paper girls are chosen as concubines for the Demon King. Lei, whose golden eyes mark her as rare, is taken from her family and named the ninth Paper Girl. Inside the palace she is trained, watched, and expected to submit.
