Mariana

The first time she saw Greywethers, a farmhouse in the Wiltshire countryside, Julia Beckett was five years old and somehow certain the house was hers. Years later she buys it, and soon after moving in she begins slipping into the seventeenth century, waking as Mariana, a young woman living through the years of plague and unrest, bound to a forbidden love and hemmed in by danger. Each crossing pulls Julia deeper into Mariana's world, and the past life starts to overtake her present one. To hold on to her own chance at happiness, Julia has to understand what ties her to Mariana and find a way to lay that older story to rest.
