Nights in Rodanthe

Adrienne Willis is forty-five, divorced, and quietly unraveling when she agrees to watch a friend's inn for a weekend in Rodanthe, a small town on North Carolina's Outer Banks. The inn's only guest is Paul Flanner, a successful surgeon who has walked away from his practice after a tragedy and come to Rodanthe to face a man he wronged. As a coastal storm bears down on the town, the two strangers share a handful of days that neither expected and neither will recover from. The main story unfolds in flashback as an older Adrienne tells it to her grieving daughter years later, hoping the memory of one true love can carry them both through.
