Perfection
Anna and Tom are a young couple of expat digital creatives who have built an enviable life in Berlin: a beautiful apartment full of plants and mid-century design, freelance work that lets them travel, and a social-media presence that broadcasts taste and ease. Latronico narrates their lives in a flat, catalog-like prose that lingers on their objects, their interiors, and their carefully composed images far more than on their thoughts. Beneath the curated surface runs a steady, unspoken dissatisfaction that no amount of optimization can quiet. The novella becomes a portrait of a generation that has assembled the perfect life and still cannot feel anything inside it.
