Sky Daddy
Linda is a single woman living in San Francisco with a secret she keeps from everyone, a romantic and sexual obsession with commercial airplanes. She spends every spare dollar on flights, experiencing takeoff and turbulence as intimacy, and quietly believes her true destiny is to find love by perishing in a crash. When a coworker invites her into a manifestation group, Linda begins to wonder whether she can will her fate into being. Folk plays the premise completely straight, building a deadpan, deeply felt portrait of a woman whose deepest desire has no place to go.
