The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

Arnold Spirit Jr., known as Junior, is a teenage cartoonist growing up on the Spokane Indian Reservation when he decides to leave the reservation school for an all-white high school in a nearby farm town. The choice marks him as a traitor at home and an outsider at school, and the year that follows tests his friendships, his family, and his sense of where he belongs.
