The Belles

In the kingdom of Orleans, people are born gray and damned, and only the Belles can give them beauty. Camellia Beauregard arrives at court with her Belle sisters, all of them hoping to be named the favorite, the one chosen by the queen to live in the royal palace and serve the royal family. But once the palace doors close, Camellia learns that beauty in Orleans is a tightly controlled commodity built on lies, and that her own powers run deeper and more dangerous than she was ever told. When the queen asks her to use those powers in forbidden ways to save the ailing princess, Camellia faces a choice that could remake or destroy everything the Belles stand for.
