The Guncle
Patrick O'Hara, once a beloved sitcom star, has spent years hiding from grief in a Palm Springs house, dodging Hollywood and his own family. When his sister-in-law dies and his brother checks into rehab, Patrick agrees to take his niece Maisie and nephew Grant for the summer. He knows nothing about parenting and governs by ridiculous Guncle Rules, but the three of them, all mourning the same losses, build a strange and tender household by the pool. Over one desert summer, Patrick learns that the family he was running from is the only thing that can pull him back into his life.
