The Lost Bookshop

The Lost Bookshop moves between two timelines that slowly converge. In the 1920s, Opaline flees England before her brother can force her into marriage and builds a life around rare books, from a Paris bookshop to a small shop of her own in Dublin. In the present, Martha takes a live-in housekeeping job with an eccentric Dublin woman to escape an abusive husband, while Henry, an English PhD student, comes to the city hunting a bookshop that seems to have vanished and a lost manuscript hinted at in a 1920s letter written by Opaline. A thread of magic ties the eras together as the characters chase a story that refuses to stay lost.
