The Sky Is Everywhere

Lennie Walker is a seventeen-year-old band geek and bookworm who has always lived contentedly behind her older sister Bailey, the loud and fearless one. When Bailey dies suddenly from an arrhythmia, Lennie is thrown into a grief she has no map for, and she finds herself drawn to two very different boys: Toby, Bailey's boyfriend, whose sorrow mirrors her own and pulls her into something they both know is wrong, and Joe Fontaine, a joyful new transplant from Paris whose music makes her feel alive again. Nelson laces the novel with the poems Lennie leaves scattered around town, fragments of the conversations she can no longer have with her sister.
