The Vatican Secret

Ex-MI5 operative Joe Mason takes what looks like an easy protection job, escorting an elderly professor and his daughter Sally through the Vatican secret archives in Rome. On their first day a masked assassin breaches the archive, shoots the professor dead, and makes off with an ancient book of secrets. Mason teams with an unwanted partner, Roxy, and Sally to chase the killers, following clues concealed in five famous churches that, decoded in sequence, point to the hidden location of Marduk's New Babylon. A ruthless religious group is racing them for the same prize, intent on revealing or wielding secrets that could shatter the Church, and the trail leads Mason across continents and into treacherous mountains.
