The Wrath and the Dawn
In a kingdom ruled by the young Caliph Khalid, every dawn brings the execution of his newest bride. Shahrzad volunteers to marry him, determined to be the girl who survives, both to break the cycle and to avenge the best friend Khalid killed. She buys herself another night by spinning unfinished stories he cannot bear to leave, and as the nights pass she starts to see that the monster she came to destroy is haunted by a secret far heavier than the murders suggest. The hatred she carried into the palace tangles into something she never meant to feel, while a rebellion gathers outside the walls and the people she left behind plot to pull her out. Loyalty, love, and revenge collide as Shahrzad has to decide what she actually wants from the boy-king she swore to kill.
