Tithe
Sixteen-year-old Kaye Fierch has grown up on the road with her unreliable rock-musician mother, but a sudden move back to her grandmother's New Jersey house reunites her with the faerie friends of her childhood. Kaye soon discovers she is a pixie changeling swapped for a human baby, and that two warring faerie courts, the Seelie and the Unseelie, intend to use her in a deadly ritual called the Tithe, a blood sacrifice that binds the solitary fae to a court for seven years. Caught between a charming, secretive knight named Roiben and the schemes of cruel faerie queens, Kaye has to outwit immortals who treat mortal lives as currency.
