Han Kang

Han Kang is a South Korean author. Her novel The Vegetarian won the International Booker Prize in 2016, bringing her work to a global audience. In 2024, she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for what the committee described as her intense poetic prose that confronts historical traumas. She is the first South Korean writer to receive the Nobel Prize.
