The Ogress and the Orphans

The town of Stone-in-the-Glen was once a lovely place, but ever since a fire destroyed its beloved library, the town has grown mean and mistrustful, its people turning inward and blaming their troubles on others. At the edge of town lives an ogress, enormous and gentle, who quietly leaves anonymous gifts of bread and vegetables on doorsteps at night. When one of the children from the neglected Orphan House goes missing, a charming and self-serving mayor stirs the townsfolk into blaming the ogress. The remaining orphans, who know the ogress is kind, must find a way to make the adults see the truth and remember how to care for one another again.
